Voyage of Discovery

The exhibition "Voyage of Discovery" was hosted by Broughton House Gallery in Cambridge, to celebrate the bicentenary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of "The Origin of Species". It was part of the University of Cambridge's Darwin Anniversary Festival 2009.

In this on-line version of the exhibition, my original text is accompanied by a detail from the corresponding image. I am attempting not only to illustrate my visual interpretation of some of the seminal ideas which formed the basis of Darwin's Origin of Species, but also to show the evolution of thoughts and ideas which created the exhibition itself ........
